The meaning behind our
Pineapple logo:
The pineapple has been a
symbol of hospitality
since the days of the
early American colonies.
The legend began with
the sea captains of New
England, who sailed
among the Caribbean
Islands and returned to
the colonies bearing
their cargo of fruits,
spices, and rum.
According to the legend,
the captain would spear
a pineapple on a fence
post outside his home to
let his friends know of
his safe return from the
sea. The pineapple was
an invitation for them
to visit, share his food
and drink, and listen to
tales of his voyage.
As the tradition grew,
colonial innkeepers
added the pineapple to
their signs and
advertisements, and
bedposts carved in the
shape of a pineapple
were a common sight at
inns across New England.
The legend has continued
to the present, and
frequently one sees the
pineapple symbol in
hotels and restaurants
to signal the presence
of hospitality.

mission at Katie Glen Homes,

The Customer is a vital part of
the building process, not an

Katie Glen Homes is a builder of
new homes in the metro
Milwaukee, WI area. We are a
collaboration among 3 couples.
The women, (Jennifer, President;
Bridget, Vice President; and
Rosina, Secretary) are the
owners of the company and are
responsible for the designs of
our homes and the women friendly
atmosphere of our company. The
men, (Scott, CFO; Michael, CEO;
and Mark, consultant) are also
very involved in the operation
of the company and handle the
actual construction of the
homes. The name of our company
contains none of our individual
names, however, we are all an
important part of Katie Glen.
The concept behind our company
is to incorporate many ideas,
features, and philosophies that
are more typically feminine in
nature while holding onto the
strengths that already exist in
the building industry. Jenni,
Bridget and Rosie believe that
when designing a home, you must
consider things such as storage
space, entertaining, and traffic
flow through the house in
addition to the construction
standards and materials used.
Our floor plans offer unique
design with emphasis on
livability. Our exteriors
combine the high drama of
classic styling with the low
maintenance offered by many
newer products. Our interiors
offer many built-ins, dramatic
views, and an emphasis on
beautiful woodwork. Our homes
are sure to bring you many years
of joy and memories.
We also believe the home
building process should be
smooth with all parties working
together. This is why we keep
you informed regarding the
construction schedule, submit
all prices for changes in
writing, and carefully inspect
the home during each phase of
construction. We also walk you
through the selection phase and
keep you informed of due dates
for these selections to be made.
We will do everything in our
power to make sure each of our
customers is a raving fan of
Katie Glen Homes.
On the subject of quality,
builders have often said “There
is no such thing as a perfect
house.” At Katie Glen Homes, we
would like to add “…but that
doesn’t mean we won’t strive to
achieve that end.”
